These workshops are full-day events that last two days each. You cannot skip a session. The selected participants are expected to attend ALL the sessions  for two days with the awareness that if they do not attend, they would be unrightfully occupying someone else's seat who can actually benefit from this workshop.

Yes, you can apply for as many workshops as you like.

Yes, you can apply for any event that Social ComQuant organizes regardless of your previous applications. If you have been, however, accepted as a participant in one of the previous workshops, you should beware that priority will be given to the candidates who have not been selected before.

Yes, most definitely you need to submit your CV and a cover letter every time you apply for an event. Additionally, you are expected to customize your cover letter depending on the content of the workshop that you apply for.

The cover letter should be in single-page and single-spaced form. In the cover letter please specify the workshop you would like to apply for and give concrete reasons showing your interest in that specific workshop. If you are applying for more than one workshop, please do explain your reasoning separately for each workshop. You are also expected to clarify why you want to be a part of the network that we aim to build through Social ComQuant, along with your previous experiences and future plans related to computational social sciences.

The participants are selected on a score-based evaluation of the cover letters and CVs. The more relevant your cover letter is to the workshop subject, the higher chance you have in the selection process.

No, the costs are covered by the Social ComQuant project for the selected participants.

Please do not send a Linkedin profile, which would indicate that you did not spare the time or attention necessary for the application. We prefer a .pdf or .doc formatted CV.

Results will ideally be announced within the week following the application deadline.
